Standard measurements for Pulmonary Function Testing:

  • Enhanced Spirometry: Slow Vital Capacity, Forced Vital Capacity and Maximum Voluntary Ventilation (MVV).
  • CO-Diffusion SB Real-time: with continuous, high speed gas analysis for calculation of DLCO, VA, KCO, TLC, FRC, RV and trapped gas evaluation plus
  • CO Diffusion Intrabreath: an alternative diffusion method with a non-breath hold manoeuvre with continuous, high speed gas analysis for calculation of DLCO, VA, KCO, TLC, FRC, RV.Absolute Static Lung Volumes: using the N2 washout method for FRCN2, ERV, RV, TLC, VC, IC and determination of the Lung Clearance Index (LCI). Pre and post medication testing for therapy control.

Standard measurements for Cardiopulmonary Exercise Function Testing

  • True breath-by-breath Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing
  • Real-time 9-panel-Wasserman graph with dynamic predicteds and the possible limitation graph
  • Mutiple threshold evaluations (VT1,VT2,VT3), six automatic slope calculations and tau
  • Individual pre-programmed EFVL (exercise flow/volume loops) measurements
  • Online entry of RPE scale, blood gas marker, blood pressure or events
  • Offline entry of blood gases with automatic calculation of related parameters
  • Customisable evaluation workflow
  • Bluetooth 12-Lead Vyntus ECG for a powerful integrated solution
  • Integrated pulse oximetry with ear-clip or forehead sensors

Optional measurements:

  • MIP/MEP Maximum Inspiratory and Expiratory pressures for measuring respiratory muscle strength.
  • P0.1 to easily measure tidal breathing respiratory drive.
  • Rocc for easy and fast determination of occlusion resistance with just one single shutter manoeuvre.
  • SNIP (SNIP = Sniff Nasal Inspiratory Pressure) for the noninvasive measurement of the inspiratory muscle strength.
  • Compliance for measuring the dynamic and/or static compliance from the oesophagus pressure-volume curve.
  • Rhinomanometry for the examination and evaluation of nasal flows and resistances.
  • Non-invasive Cardiac Output measurement during Diffusion Intrabreath measurement using C2H2 gas.
  • Bronchial challenge testing software for the integrated software-controlled bronchial challenge testing. This program assists accurate and safe provocation testing with user guidance throughout the entire protocol.
  • Vyntus® ECG – the Bluetooth® 12-Lead-PC-ECG for resting and stress ECG
  • Integrated pulse oximeter for SpO2/HR measurement via finger, ear-clip or forehead sensors

Ultrasonic Flow Sensor, Flow Path Valve and eDemand

The calibration-free ultrasonic sensor breaks new grounds in measurement technology. The heart of the system is a high speed transducer, engineered for accurate and reliable clinical results. The ultrasonic flow sensor is waterproof, can be easily disinfected and is characterised by low resistance and dead space.

Furthermore the Vyntus ONE is equipped with an innovative Flow Path Valve and eDemand. The maintenance free, quiet and fast magnetically-controlled shutter delivers a more comfortable testing experience for the patient.

To further improve your patients’ experience, the electronically controlled gas eDemand valve reduces cracking pressure and is highly responsive to the patient’s effort. And, since it’s closer to the patient it maintains ease of breathing throughout the testing manoeuvres.

By using our MicroGard II filter the ultrasonic sensor and the Flow Path Valve and eDemand needs to be cleaned only every 3 months (based on the Bio Burden DIN EN ISO 11737-1: Report 17AA0042).

Digital Volume Transducer for the CPET Measurements

The Digital Volume Transducer DVT is the ideal volume sensor for high ventilation during exercise and can be connected directly to a mouthpiece or mask. The precise bi-directional DVT is compact, lightweight (45g only), insensitive both to water vapor and breathing gas concentrations and has a low dead space (30ml). The renowned DVT has been proven to be highly accurate in many clinical studies.
